The Rubik’s Cube is a mechanical puzzle invented by Hungarian sculptor and professor of architect Erno Rubik in 1974 and patented a year later. Originally known as the “Magic Cube”. The puzzle is a plastic cube consisting of small cubes rotating on invisible axes. The sides of the cube can be rearranged into colored squares in different ways. The player’s task is as follows: each edge must be arranged so that it consists of squares of the same color.

The invention gained great interest and success all over the world. The Rubik’s Cube is one of the best-selling toys to date, and the age of its users is indefinite.
