Wooden Accessories
Bamboo/wooden cutting boards, mixing spoons, and other kitchen accessories are an integral part of the kitchen. In order for wooden items to retain their original appearance and durability for years, it is necessary to properly care for them.
Washing:
Hand wash only is recommended. Use warm water and a mild detergent. Do not soak wooden/bamboo items in water for a long time. High temperatures and strong water pressure cause the wood to crack, warp, and lose its structure.
Drying:
Dry immediately after washing with a soft cloth and leave it in a vertical position until it is completely dry, allowing air to circulate on both sides.
Oiling:
To protect the surface of your wooden board/wooden spoon and maintain its natural texture, periodically treat it with cold-pressed edible oil. This prevents moisture from penetrating and prevents it from drying out.
Recommended:
• Avoid extremely high temperatures – do not place the board on a hot stove or near a heater.
• Do not use aggressive chemical bleaches.
• Do not wash in a dishwasher – high temperatures and large amounts of water will cause it to crack and lose its shape.
• Do not store wooden items in a damp cupboard
• Avoid extremely high temperatures and high humidity.

To prevent bacteria buildup on wooden/bamboo cutting boards:
• Do not process raw meat and vegetables on the same cutting board – have a separate board for raw meat and a separate board for vegetables.
• Always maintain a dry environment for the board, avoid high humidity – do not leave the board in the kitchen sink, soaking in water.
• Perform a deep disinfection at the required intervals: prepare a mixture of white vinegar and water (in a ratio of 1:3) and clean the cutting
board, then rinse with water and dry thoroughly.
To remove odors and stains from wooden spoons, it is recommended:
• Rub a slice of lemon on the surface of the wooden spoon or use baking soda. These natural remedies effectively neutralize odors and stains.
